20 years working with the Public Tax Administration

The Public Tax Administration (AEAT) was established on 1 January 1992, since which time BABEL has been involved in the development and maintenance of the different systems that make up the revenue management of the Administration. The purpose of the AEAT is to foster compliance by citizens with their tax obligations, informing and assisting taxpayers, and also applying strict plans for the detection and settling of tax breaches through control activities.

The Public Tax Administration is entrusted with effective applying the state and customs taxation system, as well as the resources of other national or EU public authorities, the management of which is entrusted to it by law or by agreement.

The Public Tax Administration is a public entity with corporate status that is responsible for effectively applying the state and customs taxation system along with any resources of other national or EU public administrations and authorities, the management of which is entrusted to it by law.

The Public Tax Administration has always been a forerunner in the advanced use of technologies, innovating through gradual evolution to avoid breaches by citizens in their use.

With an enormous amount of information in its possession, it strives to incorporate analytics and artificial intelligence technologies in order to provide smart digital services, while applying it to active anti-fraud policies.
